VR Events was formed in order to assist child actors and their families embarking on a career in the entertainment industry. The mission of our company is to educate children pursuing a career in the performing arts, with a focus on television and film. We will achieve our goals by organizing and producing events that serve as educational resources for child actors and their parents. |
Eric
Vollweiler In
an apprentice program through Theatrefest in Upper Montclair, NJ he did
public relations and marketing for Betty Buckley in Concert and
Melba Moore's one woman show. Moving on to Emerson College, he founded
Emerson Casting, utilizing over 2000 actors and actresses for student
films. He also assisted casting in the New England filmed movies, What's
the Worst That Can Happen and Osmosis Jones. Through Citizen
Schools, Eric taught inner city children how to produce and market their
own play. Venturing west through Emerson's Hollywood program, he interned in the DreamWorks SKG casting department on the films Time Machine, The Last Castle and Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron. Eric has worked with the Nantucket Film Festival and Sundance Film Festival. He was also a producer on the feature films Get a Grip and The Assassin. He currently resides in LA where he recently served as a marketing consultant involved with sales and advertising for the DIY Convention - Do it Yourself in Film, Music and Books. He just finished working as a sales consultant for The Real Estate Wealth Expo in Los Angeles, an expo sponsored by the Learning Annex featuring Donald Trump. His website is www.ericvollweiler.com.
Brian
Roth He left JWT to pursue a graduate degree which brought him out to California. While attending graduate school, he worked for the US Department of Commerce. Since graduating from Pepperdine University with a Master of Public Policy degree - with specializations in Economics and International Relations - he has worked in marketing for 141 Worldwide, a global integrated marketing communications agency. He lives on LA's Westside.
Marci
Roth As a senior art director at Grey Direct in the 90's, she was lead designer on a number of pharmaceutical accounts, and also art directed ads and mailings for Save the Children. At Zentropy Partners, a web design agency, she created flash animation for Tamiflu, designed web pages for clients in the financial services industry, and built many ad banners. Currently, Marci is a senior graphic designer for financial news web site www.money.com. She continues to freelance and has recently completed an annual report and bus shelter and subway platform campaign for Hostos Community College in the Bronx, NY.
